How strange is my life.

I got my grade 10 and I haven’t really done anything with it, alright? I just really wanted to make you guys proud. Try to go to school and get my book thinking and learnings and stuff flowing better more brainly. I'm just a regular 16 year old kid. I make good grilled cheese. No personal business on company pond.

Seriously though I'm Carly and here is a blog of the thing I like this blog is a blog of the things i like.

A Recap of Last Weekend!

I went to Binghamton to see Rachel Casey, Madeline Adams, and Sticklips. We had Shabbat dinner and went to the show. Sticklips was AMAZIN’ and so intense. Her voice is lovely. Then Madeline Adams and Jacob Morris! SO GOOD. Just the best. The setlist included (robbed from Rachel):

Waited All Day

Rain, Fire, and Brimstone

Black Out

I Left the Light On

Shotgun Wedding

Fish in the Sea

Dead Moon

Sleeping Dogs (so good with Jacob singing harmony)

Johnny Cash

Lit Elephants

SO GOOD. So poetic.

I bought “White Flag” on vinyl and had Madeline sign it before her set. Later, people were helping Madeline and Jacob bring stuff to their car and they asked where to get some booze. Vikki told them that there was a bar walking distance from Rachel’s house.

So we went to THE BELMAR on ASBURY COURT and Jacob and I talked on the walk there while Rachel talked to Madeline. It was crowded but we got a table. And PBR’s. Gross. We talked about The Doors, a movie about bicycles that I now forget the name of, Georgia, and other things I also don’t remember. But it was great.

On the way home, Jacob and I talked about Bobby D and how we are both huge fans. Got back to Rachel’s and Jacob said he could play Bobbo on his guitar. And harmonica. That he had with him. Obviously, I freaked out. We went outside and he serenaded me with Bob Dylan songs until five in the morning while Rachel ate cereal with Madeline inside. I was swooning. Seriously. If anyone wants to win me over, play Dylan with guitar and harmonica. We went inside and Madeline had to gone to sleep.

The bed I slept in felt like a concrete road but I was tired enough to sleep in it. For three or four hours. Rachel woke me up around 9:30 to go downstairs to greet Madeline and Jacob. Rachel made cinnamin rolls and we ate cereal. And cinnamon rolls. We all talked about Halloween and Madeline said she always plays at The Fest in Gainsville during Halloween. During breakfast, a Nana Grizol song came on and Madelina mouthed the words to the part that she sings. Awesome. They left and we talked about it forever.

Sunday, I saw TMBG in Morristown with my brother, aunt, and cousin, Seth. It was a kid’s show and it was wonderful. The set list included:

Bed, Bed, Bed

I Never Go to Work

Doctor Worm

Pirate Girls Nine

Particle Man

The Famous Polka

Nonagon

High Five! (Marty!)

Roy G. Biv

Meet the Elements

Older

Seven

What Is a Shooting Star?

Clap Your Hands

I Am a Paleontologist

Cowtown

Istanbul

Graveyard

Alphabet of Nations

Encore: Stalk of Wheat, Eight Hundred and Thirteen Mile Car Trip

They were so much fun and I got to meet Danny Weinkauf after, THE ONLY ONE I HADN’T MET YET. So fine.

Then Jeremy and I went to Shop Rite for Dubliner and ended up with a lot of other stuff like pumpkin pie.
